Ferric chloride solution
- Chemical name : Ferric chloride solution
- Molecular formula : FeCl3
- Molecular weight : 162.21
- Package : Plastic barrel or tank vehiCle
- appearance : Brownish liquid
1. Use :
Good substitute of solid ferric chloride. In photoengraving; photography; manufacture of other Fe salts, pigments, ink; as catalyst in organic reactions; as mordant in dyeing and printing textiles; oxidizing agent in dye manufacute. Clinical reagent (amino acids in urine, esp in phenylketonuria). HPFCS type meets the high requirements of electrical industry.
Ferric chloride solution is high-efficiency flocculant for purifying, deodorizing, decolorizing or sterilizing treatment of industrial effluents and civil sewage.
2. Compared with other flocculant, it has following advantages :
• Saves 40% of cost compared with solid ferric chloride at equivalent concentration.
• Simple to use, no need for dissolution.
• Saves 30% of cost compared with liquid/solid aluminum sulfate, polyaluminum chloride, polyferric sulfate.
• Good flocculation property, with faster sedimentation compared with aluminum flocculant.
• Reduces sludge production, hence saving cost on sludge treatment.
• General purpose, broad pH range : 4-12 , particularly 6-10.
